Scouting Report
From a technical standpoint, Oher is without peer in this draft. His technique both in pass protection and run blocking, is on an elite level. You match that with strength that is among the best in the draft, and you see why Oher is a veritable lock for a top 10 pick next April. His size is ideal for either tackle or guard and his versatility is another strength. In addition he has long arms and a strong low base. If there were a shortcoming to his game, it is probably a little bit of consistency. During games, he lapses for a few plays and gets a little flat footed. He must learn how important it is to play hard every down. Oher moves well, finishes with a complete disdain for his opponent and seems to rarely ever find himself missing his assignment.
Draft Status
Like I said, Oher is a top 10 pick at this point. He's one of only a couple of players in this draft, at any position I can say that about. A team like Kansas City or Cincinnati who are in desperate need of help on the offensive line, would be elated to pick up a talent like Oher.
Final Analysis
03/31 update-I have to admit I've cooled some on Oher but that's as much to do with just how far Jason Smith and Eugene Monroe have moved up, rather than Oher moving down. He's still a great prospect but in a league that covets pass protection over run blocking Oher has to take a bit of a hit. Oher is a guy I think would fit great on a team that plays a 3-4 heavy schedule because he matches up well with big 3-4 DEs. Oher is likely out of the top 10 at this point but still a solid first round pick.

No joke, I think Oher can be that good. He's got all the tools and has shown year after year, he can get it done in the SEC against elite talent.
