Wright is a tough guy to grade. He's got an ideal
quarterback body, tall, muscular, and has a very strong arm. He appears to be able to make all the throws, and has pretty good feet, while not overly
athletic. He's show great poise under pressure, against some pretty
nasty circumstances, and plays for a high profile offense.
NEGATIVES
Why isn't he better? He really struggles at times with his accuracy, and lets way too many balls get away from him. He also fails miserably at throwing touchdown passes, and let's be honest, he's got weapons around him. It's hard to watch a kid who can look like a first round pick in some games, and an undrafted FA in others.
FINAL WORD
Wright is an odd case. He's got all "that" - big, strong arm, good feet, pocket presence, and seems to be a good leader on the field. But he's so up and down, if he can't get that in check, not only will he not be a viable NFL draft prospect, but it's going to be a long year for Miami fans. All the skills in the world won't matter if you can't show you can win, and Wright's in consistency will make NFL teams question if he can win.
