POSITIVES

Brown is a massive player with long arms and room to grow. He doesn't carry much body fat for a man his size, and that really pays off for him. He's very athletic for a big man and is very light on his feet. Gets a great step off the snap and is able to slide well to engage defensive ends. If that happens, forget about it, because once Brown is in your face you aren't going anywhere. Natural LT prospect due to his ability to pass protect.

NEGATIVES

Brown doesn't play angry. By that I mean he doesn't play with the aggression that you look for, particularly as a run blocker. He doesn't finish his blocks in the run game with power and authority. Isn't as strong as he is big, and it shows at times. To me, it looks like Brown gives up too much in the way of leverage, and that could be something that can be coached up. He also doesn't show consistent effort game-to-game.

FINAL WORD

Here is another player, because of a down class, who will be drafted very early. I'm not sure if Brown warrants a top 15 pick, but with the lack offensive tackle talent, that's just where he'll be. To me he looks to be a great LT prospect for a team that needs a backside pass protector and can tolerate a weakness in run blocking. But if you want Brown to run block much, it's probably a better move to slide him to the right side and get him some help on that edge. Brown's a very good player, and it appears that most of his problems are coachable. There's no doubt Brown is a hard worker willing to learn.
