POSITIVES

Everett is like so many Florida LBs. He has a great combination of size and speed, and a very aggressive nature. Everett might be the best tackler in the entire draft, and you combine that with his ability to cover a lot of field, and you understand why you see him making plays everywhere. His speed also allows him to play more than adequate coverage on tight ends and running backs, and is a very smart player, in the blitz. He breaks on the snap well, and explodes into the backfield.

NEGATIVES

Everett isn't the biggest linebacker, and it shows when he struggles to outman offensive lineman, especially in the run game. Prefers to avoid blockers rather than engage them. For all of Everett's speed, he's not been used as a pass rusher much this year, and his sacks are down. Everett will need to get a little bigger and a lot stronger, if he wants to be an every down, premier LB in the NFL.

FINAL WORD

Came into the season as the best LB on the Gators roster, and is probably No. 2 right now. He's a very experienced and versatile player, who could come in and play virtually any linebacker spot. He's not the biggest guy, and he needs to get stronger, but make no mistake, this kid is going to go to an NFL team, as a very explosive athlete, probably on the weak side, and make a lot of plays.
