POSITIVES

Davis is a real hammer at MLB. He's a very good tackler, and one of those guys, who always seems to find his way around the football. You can attribute most of that to his relentless style of play, and surprising quickness, but it's mostly about Davis football acumen. He's very instinctive, and can diagnose a play very quickly, and is usually the first man on the scene.

NEGATIVES

Davis does not have ideal height, and looking at him, it seems that from a physical standpoint, he's really maxed out. More quick than fast, and that along with his size, makes him a liability in pass coverage. A ton of potential, but certainly needs to get on the right team to maximize his strengths, and minimize his weaknesses.

FINAL WORD

Davis is a very fun player to watch. He seems to be able to get from sideline to sideline on every play, but that's less about speed, and more about smarts. Davis is a leader on the field, and a very experienced player, and you can't discount his intangibles and on field production. However, being 5-10 limits his potential, and although I realize there have been many great LBs less than 6' tall, Davis, like HB Blades, is going to need to find his way to a team that can fit them into their system properly, and maximize what they do best.
